I’ve never had a favorite painting of mine … until now! THIS is it. You can't quite take in the size of it until you get a chance to see it in person, it is truly stunning. The concept behind “New Depths” has been rattling around in my head for a few years. But I never quite pulled it off the way I wanted until this piece.

What I aimed for:

1- To capture the sexy spine lines of snow that y’all know I’ve got a deep passion for since the beginning.

2- Energetic lines radiating towards all edges of the canvas (what I struggled to figure out but finally got!)

3- WARMTH! Because who doesn’t want to look at something that makes them feel warm n cozy?! I LOVE these colors.

4- Fade into background. I’ve been creating pieces with this concept for a few years now. But I love the execution of this one. New, fresh, different!

5- A fresh perspective! Getting away from the classic landscape, you continually see. I wanted a different vantage point that most don’t portray.

6- To pull it all off in a modern way.
