Surfing in Mexico

Nick Langowski and Meg Smith - Sunset surf session - Mexico

I spent a month living on the beach in Mexico and learning how to surf during this fall. Nevertheless, I found a new sport. It was really hard to get the hang of, but the warm water and pure fun of standing up on a board got me out there 2-3 times a day. A week in the Wrangell St.-Elias Mountains Ski Camping

Mount St. Elias

Molly and I had a fun... Read The Rest →

Alaska Ski Adventure turned permanent

My guide Nick Langowski

After a kayaking trip to Mexico had fallen through, I had a plane ticket to use. In the winter of 2011-2012 Alaska was having a record year for snowfall. When I caught word of this I knew exactly what I needed to do. So I re-booked the Mexico ticket to spend 10 days in Alaska. It was a bit intimidating coming up to an area that I knew nothing about and no one there. I knew there was a hostel and that I knew someone that could pick me up... Read The Rest →
